We use Little Wandle to teach daily phonics at St George's.  We send home spellings each week for the children to learn.  Each spelling sheet shows the phonemes we are focusing on, includes words to spell using these phonemes and also includes some tricky words.

Below you will find the lists of tricky words that the children are required to read and spell. These words are 'tricky' because they can not be read phonetically. Please encourage your child to read these regularly, there is also a copy of these in their reading record diary. You will also find some of these each week on the weekly spelling homework sheet.
