Frosty Woodland Session-we played with the ice and had hot chocolate

We had great fun at our sports session at the Leisure Centre.

Sports Day

We have been learning about how the end of the war was celebrated and why we wear red, white and blue for VE Day. We had our snack and lunch set up in party format and Mrs Shuker made us some yummy cupcakes with red, blue and white icing and sprinkles! We also painted some Union jack flags and shared the story of 'The Bear Who Went To War'. We had a great time waving our flags around in celebration.

The Bear who Went to War

The story of Woytek the Soldier Bear, adopted by Polish soldiers in WW2, re-told by Alan Pollock and illustrated by Bryony Thomson in a picture book from Old Barn Books, UK.
