Children’s Mental Health Week – 1st-7th February 2021
Dear parents and carers at St George’s,
In school this week, we are celebrating Children’s Mental Health Week. We will be sharing strategies to promote mental wellbeing with the exciting theme of ‘Express Yourself.’ Please look at this page to share our activities at home and in school.
The uncertainty that the Coronavirus has brought to all our lives means that we must support our school community as much as possible. Please click below for useful resources for families and feel most welcome at any time to contact staff at school with mental wellbeing concerns.
How are we expressing ourselves in school and at home?
Positive thinking – Y1/2 have been discussing positive thinking a lot this week and how we can become positive thinkers.
Art –Key Stage 2 have completed the RSPB Bird Watch and carefully painted some of our favourite birds. It was relaxing and fun.
Discussing our emotions – Y3/4 discussed the many emotions that we all have sometimes. We drew monsters of different colours to express them. Maisie’s monster is full of mixed emotions and Oscar’s is petrified! Isobel showed anger in her monster.
