As part of World Book Day celebrations, the children in EYFS have been demonstrating their love of snuggling in their pyjamas and sharing a good book by wearing their pyjamas to school.
On Thursday 12th March the children took part in a sponsored walk for Sports Relief.
Children in years 4/5/6 walked to Toddbrook Reservoir to coincide their walk with British Science Week. The children set off first thing in the morning and spent the day at the reservoir and completed science activities whilst there.
Children in EYFS and years 1/2/3 took part in a local walk along the Sett Valley Trail in the afternoon.
Altogether the children raised a massive £538!
We are so proud of them. Well done St George’s.
Some of our children were lucky enough to meet Jamie Knight, football freestyler! They took part in soccer skills and freestyling workshops, and we’d like to thank High Peak Sports Partnership for organising this great event!
